Pearl Singers
The primary choral performance group at Pearl High
School. Pearl Singers
is composed of approximately 90 select students in grades 10 thru 12. Auditions are held in the
spring each year for Pearl Singers, Chamber Singers, and Women's Chorus. Pearl Singers have received
consistent superior ratings at the Gulf Coast Choral Festival, the
Riverland Choral Festival, the District VI Choral
Festival and the Mississippi State Choral Music Festival. The Pearl
Singers have
also won the "Sweepstakes Award" at the Gulf Coast Choral
Festival, "Best in Class" at the Riverland Choral Festival, and
"2005 Grand Champions" at the Emerald Coast Music Festival.
2006 "Best in Class" at Ole Miss Choral Festival.
Men's Glee
Men's Glee is composed of male students enrolled in choral classes at
Pearl High School. Men's Glee generally numbers approximately 40 students. Men's Glee has
received consistent superior ratings at the Gulf Coast Choral Festival, the District VI
Choral Festival, and the Mississippi State Choral Music Festival.
This group has also won "Sweepstakes Award" at the Gulf Coast
Choral Festival. 2006 "Best in Class" at Ole Miss Choral Festival.

Women's Chorus
Women's Chorus is composed of female choral students in grades 10-12.
Women's Chorus has received consistent superior ratings at the Gulf Coast Choral Festival,
the District VI Choral Festival, and the Mississippi State Choral Music
Festival, the Riverland Choral Festival and the Emerald Coast Music
Festival.
Women's Chorus has won "Sweepstakes Award" at the Gulf
Coast Choral Festival and "Best in Class" at the Riverland
Choral Festival.
Concert Choir
The Concert Choir is composed of about
50 ninth grade students conducted
by Angie Rawls. This group was begun in the 1997-98 school year, when they received the
"Sweepstakes" award for the Freshman category at the Gulf Coast Choral Festival
and all superior ratings at the District VI and State Choral Festivals in
addition to Riverland Choral Festival.

Chamber Singers
Chamber
Singers is the elite madrigal
performance group at Pearl High School. It is composed of 22 singers. Chamber Singers have
received consistent superior ratings at the Gulf Coast Choral Festival, the District VI
Choral Festival, the Mississippi State Choral Music Festival. Riverland
Choral Festival and the Emerald Coast Music Festival. They won
"2002 Grand Champions" at the Emerald Coast Choral Festival in
Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. In the spring of 2004, Chamber Singers
were a featured choir in Carnegie Hall, New York. They also
participated in the National Youth Chorale on the same venue. 2006
"Best in Class" at Ole Miss Choral Festival.
Quartet
The Pearl High School Quartet is composed of four male singers. The
general repertoire includes barbershop quartet music and other forms of men's music.
Quartet has received consistent superior ratings at the Gulf Coast Choral Festival, the
District VI Choral Festival, the Mississippi State Choral Music Festival
,
and the Riverland Choral Festival.
They have won "Sweepstakes Award" at the Gulf Coast Choral
Festival.
Sextet
Sextet is composed of six female singers chosen from all classes. Sextet
has received consistent superior ratings at the Gulf Coast Choral Festival, the District
VI Choral Festival, the Mississippi State Choral Festival and the
Riverland Choral Festival.
Sextet has
also won "Sweepstakes Award" at the Gulf Coast
Choral Festival.
Freshmen Sextet
Freshmen Sextet enters adjudication festivals where they
receive superior ratings. These six female singers perform for
special events. This group was the first freshmen sextet to win the "Sweepstakes Award"
at the Gulf
Coast Choral Festival.
Mixed Ensemble
Mixed Ensemble consists of eight mixed singers singing SATB music.
The Pearl High School Mixed
Ensemble consistently receives superior ratings at all choral festivals entered.
