Invitational
November 1, 2008 An
invitational festival sponsored by Pearl Singers Auxiliary The festival will be held at the William
H. Dodson Performing Arts Center and Fine Arts Complex at Pearl High
School on November 1, 2008. · The
fee is $4.00 per student per adjudication.
Fee is to be included with registration. · One
entry will be allowed in each choir category.
Second choirs will be allowed to perform in a lower class.
(i.e. Freshmen or Concert Choir) · More
than one ensemble may be entered as schedule permits and based on
receipt of registration. · Each
group will perform 2 selections of quality literature. (No pop music
please.) · Photocopied
music will not be allowed unless accompanied with a letter from the
publisher granting permission to copy.
The letter should be attached to each
copy. · Ensembles
are not to be conducted. · A
“Best in Class” Award will be given in each category.
A minimum of 5 groups must be entered in the category for this
award to be given. · Numerical scores will be averaged to obtain overall ratings.

Awards
"Best in Class" - Overall winner in each category
Superior - The best conceivable performance
Excellent - A distinctive, above average performance
Good - A commendable, average performance
Fair - A below average performance
Poor - A performance revealing a lack of preparation and understanding of fundamentals Registration
